What you’ll contribute to:

An exciting opportunity has recently become available for an experienced part-time Duty Manager to join the team at Gold Coast Airport.

This Part time role will see you working a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster with hours ranging from 4am to 11pm (or until the last flight has cleared) 365 days a year.

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, the successful applicants will ensure the professional, efficient, and effective operation of the Gold Coast terminal facility.  This will be achieved by regular proactive interaction with stakeholders, key clients, passengers, and other terminal users.

We are looking for two energetic, motivated, and flexible people with experience working within an airport environment or in a operations service’s role. You will pride yourself on your work ethic and enjoy making a valuable team contribution.

 

Key deliverables/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure continued effective and efficient operation of the terminal through proactive oversight and on-ground presence.
  • Maintain terminal standards aligned to safety, cleanliness and operational readiness
  • Manage the allocation of aircraft parking bays and associated terminal resources (boarding gates, check in equipment, and baggage reclaim) via the Airport Operating System to optimise aircraft movements and passenger flow
  • Coordinate the operationally critical swing of terminal resources between domestic and international operations.
  • Respond to incidents, operational disruptions and medical first aids in accordance with operational plans and procedures
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and professional engagement with key clients, passengers and terminal users..
  • Monitor and assure compliance with agreed service levels across operational contractors

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in a busy airport environment. A first aid certification and experience working in a supervisory/team leader position would be an advantage. You will have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to communicate with different personalities.
